Summary
Under the direction of the Manager of Facilities Maintenance, the Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of all industrial equipment, including HVAC packaging units, chiller/cooling tower systems, boilers, fluid pumping systems, reverse osmosis and DI water systems, waste water treatment, and chemical delivery systems; overseeing the roof maintenance program, including inspection, cleaning or removing debris, and overseeing contracted services; performing all regular scheduled or unscheduled electrical, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance to the interior or exterior of the facility. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Performs both scheduled and unscheduled electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs or maintenance to the interior or exterior of the facility
  • Performs both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of HVAC units, including packaging units, chiller/cooling tower systems; performs minor repairs to automation or environmental controls as needed
  • Reads, understands, and interprets schematic drawings such as hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, or plumbing diagrams
  • Enters, updates, and tracks work orders using in-house software application to ensure standards for customer service are consistently met
  • Uses power tools, calibration equipment, and other small hand tools to repair equipment, machinery, etc.
  • Oversees contracted repair services for preventative maintenance of the facility, such as roof repairs, equipment, life safety, and general maintenance to the building
  • Responds to requests from employees and departments regarding facilities-related issues or support

    Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience working in facilities, construction, plumbing, or similar background in a technician role
  • Industrial or Electrical Controls Systems Certification Preferred

May occasionally work in a class 100 ESD sensitive wafer manufacturing facility; wears a cleanroom (bunny) suit, including hood, gloves, safety glasses, booties, and mask. Plating Manufacturing Engineer

Summary
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager of Plating Manufacturing Engineering,the Plating Manufacturing Engineeris responsible for the monitoring, sustaining, and supporting day-to-day plating processes and programs on the manufacturing line, including developing and delivering strategies to improve and optimize processes in electroplating, resist stripping, and wet etching; developing and implementing practices or methodologies which reduce cost and improve operational efficiency; analyzing data, creating reports, and making presentations to groups; conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective action; developing and implementing procedures for transitioning new products in the manufacturing line; and reviewing, updating, and maintaining all documentation and MPI's.     Essential Functions
  • Monitors, sustains, and supports day-to-day plating manufacturing processes, programs, and activities in the electroplating, resist stripping, and wet etching areas
  • Ensures process reliability by providing technical support to operators, technicians, and other engineers
  • Collaborates with development team regarding new plating process integration and manufacturing process improvements

Process Control Documentation Engineer

Summary
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager of Process Integration, the Process Control Documentation Engineer is responsible for assisting with creating and maintaining process control programs for next generation or prototype products, including monitoring, updating, and documenting changes or modifications to process integration methodologies (MPI’s); reviewing documentation, auditing process control flows, and reporting and partnering with our team members to process flow errors. Product Engineering Manager

Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Product Engineering, the Manager of Product Engineering is responsible for overseeing the qualification, production ramp, design specifications, and customer communication for a specific line of HDD products. The engineering manager is responsible for reviewing and analyzing backend performance data, recommending and leading corrective action plans if needed, and addressing wafer qualification issues affecting performance, yield, and quality. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Manages and oversees the qualification, production ramp, design specifications, and customer communication for a specific line of HDD products throughout the product lifecycle
  • Reviews, evaluates, and approves design changes to new or existing HDD products
  • Develops, evaluates, and oversees the execution of product qualification plans to ensure customer specifications for delivery, performance, cost, and quality are met consistently
  • Reviews and analyzes various types of backend performance data; may recommend corrective action if needed to ensure quality and performance requirements are met

Sr. QA Engineer

Reports To: Manager, Quality Assurance & Characterization

Summary
Under the direction of the Manager of QA and Characterization, the Sr. QA Engineer, will be responsible for ensuring the quality of various products currently in production as well as prototype products for magnetic recording heads, including monitoring processes and test parameters using Statistical Process Control (SPC) as well as analyzing data and providing reports to the manufacturing teams. The QA Engineer will be responsible for determining the root cause and performing failure analysis for yield and performance-related issues, and recommending corrective action. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Reviews and monitors quality of various high volume and newly launched products
  • Reviews and analyzes data using SPC, creates reports, and presents findings; recommends corrective action as needed
  • Collaborates with other product engineering groups regarding process-related issues and product requirements to ensure customer specifications for reliability and performance are met

Sr. Thin Film Manufacturing Engineer

Under the direction of the Thin Film Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Sr. Thin Film Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the monitoring, sustaining, and supporting day-to-day thin film manufacturing processes utilizing ion beam techniques, including providing technical support to ensure process reliability; verifying process robustness with characterization of process latitudes through experimentation; improving the efficiency of deposition and/or dry etching processes; developing and implementing practices or methodologies which reduce cost and improve operational efficiency; conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective action; and improving production yields via process/tool manufacturability optimization. TAMR Design Engineer

Under the direction of the Manager of TAMR Design, the TAMR Design Engineer is responsible for the Near Field Transducer (NFT) design of 1.5 Tb/Sq In and higher magnetic recording heads; designing and conducting NFT modeling simulations using COMSOL or other commercial software; conducting detailed comparisons between experimental findings and model simulations using various analytical techniques; correlating NFT design to recording phenomena and area density performance; conducting quantitative analysis of NFT and TAMR host performance; conducting failure analysis and reporting optical phenomena. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • NFT design for magnetic recording heads of 1 Tb/Sq In and higher
  • Designs and conducts NFT modeling simulations using COMSOL or similar commercial software
  • Develops and conducts detailed comparisons between experimental findings and model simulations using various analytical techniques; presents findings and recommends appropriate action
  • Conducts complex quantitative analysis of NFT and TAMR head performance and develops figures of merit for performance

Working Conditions
The Equipment Maintenance Technician works a rotating schedule Monday thru Wednesday and e/o Thursday from 6 AM to 6 PM. Work hours may be altered from time-to-time contingent on business need; may travel from building-to-building as needed. Works in a class 100 ESD sensitive wafer manufacturing facility; wears a cleanroom (bunny) suit, including hood, gloves, safety glasses, booties, and mask. May be exposed to hazardous conditions, chemicals, fumes, and/or gases during the course of work day; may be exposed to loud noise; may work in close proximity to moving mechanical parts. Stands and walks, bends, twists, and crawls; May occasionally be required to work in crawl spaces, shafts, or other areas that could cause claustrophobia; wears a respirator in order to accommodate safety requirements. Performs various fine grasping movements; operates a computer and enters information using a keyboard, operates a telephone, and other office equipment; may occasionally push, pull, or lift up to 30 pounds.
