Summary
Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Chemical (Chem) Technician is responsible for the routine changing of solvents, etch tank fluids, and resist bottles; making, pouring, and maintaining develop solution and lapping slurries; performing tests using various laboratory tools and analyzing the results to ensure consistency; and disposing of chemical waste as needed. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Performs routine changing of solvents, etch tanks fluids, and resist bottles to ensure a ready supply of fresh chemicals
  • Prepares, pours, and maintains various chemicals, developing solutions, and etch slurries
  • Manages, monitors, and stocks chemical supplies; informs Materials department when inventory is low or needs to be replenished
  • Performs routine chemical testing to ensure consistency of products using various laboratory tools; analyzes results and reports deviations
  • Properly disposes of chemicals to ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety requirements
  • Responds to chemical spills quickly and according to established procedures; participates in the Headway Spill Response team
  • Responds to inquiries from other team members, managers, or departments

    Minimum Qualifications
  • High School or General Education Diploma (GED) required
  • Experience working in a semiconductor or high volume manufacturing environment or similar industry

The Chemical Technician works Monday thru Wednesday and e/o Thursday from 6 AM to 6 PM. Work hours may be altered from time-to-time contingent on business needs. Technician works in a class 100 ESD sensitive wafer fab manufacturing facility; adheres to OHSA required safety and dress standards. May travel from building-to-building as needed.Technician may be subject to high noise levels, hazardous chemicals, and particulate matter from time-to-time; must be clean-shaved in order to wear a respirator when required. Equipment Engineer

Reports To: Sr Manager, Plating Manufacturing Engineering

Summary
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Plating Manufacturing Engineering, the Equipment Engineer is responsible for the evaluation, selection, order installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of tools in the Plating, Stripping, and Wet Etch areas; uses AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar software to draw diagrams or schematics; analyzes data, compiles reports, presents findings, and recommends corrective action if required; manages projects of various size, scope, and budget; consistently seeks opportunities to optimize tool performance, increase yield, and lower overall operational costs. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Researches, evaluates, and recommends the selection of tools in the Plating, Stripping, and Wet Etching area which improve yield and lower operational cost
  • Analyzes tool data, compiles reports, presents findings, and recommends corrective action if required
  • Manages projects of various scope, schedule, and budget to ensure the establish timelines are met
  • Coordinates, tracks, and prioritizes tool maintenance to ensure maximum tool up-time
  • ensures that all tools are maintained per the established schedule and within specification

    Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Electronics and/or equivalent relevant experience
  • Three years of experience working as an Equipment Engineer or Sr. Equipment Maintenance Technician in a high volume manufacturing environment in the semiconductor industry
  • One year of hands on experience working with various plating, stripping, and wet etching tool sets
  • Experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software program
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications

Equipment Maintenance Technician

Summary
Under the direction of the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, the Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible performing routine and preventative maintenance on various vacuum tool sets, including PVD, ALD, and Etch tools; ensuring that tools are performing at optimum levels by adhering to the established maintenance schedule; resolving maintenance issues quickly and efficiently; partnering with engineering or other groups to improve tool reliability, minimize downtime, and resolve yield issues; supporting continuous improvement activities; reviewing, updating, and documenting routine maintenance guides; and preparing for pass down meetings as needed. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Performs routine and preventative maintenance on multiple vacuum tools; ensures tools are performing at optimum levels and within specification; adheres to an established maintenance schedule
  • Troubleshoots and resolves maintenance issues quickly and efficiently to ensure optimum tool up time
  • Partners with engineering, vendors, or other groups to improve tool reliability, reduce Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), increase Mean Time to Preventative Maintenance (MTTPM), and resolve yield issues
  • Reviews, updates, and documents routine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance guides/instruction manuals as needed
  • Prepares data or documentation for daily/weekly pass down meetings

Plating Manufacturing Engineer

Under the direction of the Sr. Manager of Plating Manufacturing Engineering,the Plating Manufacturing Engineeris responsible for the monitoring, sustaining, and supporting day-to-day plating processes and programs on the manufacturing line, including developing and delivering strategies to improve and optimize processes in electroplating, resist stripping, and wet etching; developing and implementing practices or methodologies which reduce cost and improve operational efficiency; analyzing data, creating reports, and making presentations to groups; conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective action; developing and implementing procedures for transitioning new products in the manufacturing line; and reviewing, updating, and maintaining all documentation and MPI's.     Essential Functions

Process Engineering Technician

Summary
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Process Development, the Process Engineering Technician provides support to the process development engineering team, including assisting with characterization process, preparing and maintaining recipes, reviewing and documenting processes or procedures, andexpediting and dispositioning prototype wafers; conducts defect analysis using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and surface particle scan tool; maintains process controls using Statistical Process Control (SPC), collects and analyzes data, and recommends corrective action. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Supports the engineering process by preparing, maintaining, and setting up recipes to ensure an efficientand consistent process
  • Reviews and documents processes and procedures; partners with engineering to implement changes effectively
  • Conducts defect analysis using CD-SEM, optical microscopes, and surface particle scan tool
  • Uses various wafer manufacturing tools such as PVD, CVD, etcher, wet cleaning tool, etc., to perform experiments and process wafers
  • Expedites and dispositions prototype wafersas directed by engineering team
  • Runs routine experiments, collects and analyzes data, and recommends corrective action if required

Works in a class 10 ESD sensitive wafer manufacturing facility; wears a cleanroom (bunny) suit, including hood, gloves, safety glasses, booties, and mask. May be exposed to hazardous conditions, chemicals, fumes, and/or gases during the course of work day; stands and walks; performs various fine grasping movements, bends, and twists; operates a computer and enters information using a keyboard, operates a telephone, and other office equipment. Product Engineering Manager

Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Product Engineering, the Manager of Product Engineering is responsible for overseeing the qualification, production ramp, design specifications, and customer communication for a specific line of HDD products. The engineering manager is responsible for reviewing and analyzing backend performance data, recommending and leading corrective action plans if needed, and addressing wafer qualification issues affecting performance, yield, and quality. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Manages and oversees the qualification, production ramp, design specifications, and customer communication for a specific line of HDD products throughout the product lifecycle
  • Reviews, evaluates, and approves design changes to new or existing HDD products
  • Develops, evaluates, and oversees the execution of product qualification plans to ensure customer specifications for delivery, performance, cost, and quality are met consistently
  • Reviews and analyzes various types of backend performance data; may recommend corrective action if needed to ensure quality and performance requirements are met
  • Participates in customer meetings either onsite or via teleconference to discuss and update project status, address customer concerns or questions, and ensure expectations for budget, quality, and delivery schedule are met
  • Partners with other design groups to discuss design changes for next generation products which improve performance and quality

Under the direction of the Production Training Supervisor,the Production Training Coordinatoris responsible for the coordination and scheduling of manufacturing production training for engineers, technicians, and operators; including maintaining training records, auditing both training and quality programs, facilitating cleanroom and wafer handling training sessions, creating, editing, and updating training materials and documentation, and maintaining and updating the TEDS (LMS Systems) as needed.     Essential Functions
  • Coordinates, schedules, and facilitates all manufacturing and production training for engineers, technicians, and operators for both new hires and existing employees

The Wafer Fab Operator is also responsible for recording data in the Work in Process (WIP) tracking system, analyzing data and reporting anomalies, and learning, understanding, and adhering to established Manufacturing Engineering Instructions (MPI's); learning and achieving certification on various assigned tools or operations; and supporting continuous improvement activities for productivity, yield enhancement, and scrap reduction. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
